17 Nov WTF Why Not – The Full Details
We posted a few weeks ago about our imminent collaboration with street fooders Tongue ‘n Cheek this December. Here are the full details for what we have planned. We’re going to be open every weekend in December up until Christmas in our railway arch in Hackney Downs. Launching on the 5th of December, this is something you’re not going to want to miss!
The Tongue ‘n Cheek menu promises to be spectacular. They only use native breed, pasture fed beef and free range British pork sourced from small farmers via nose-to-tail butcher, Nathan Mills of The Butchery. Vegetables come locally sourced, breads are from Spence bakery and the sauces are all homemade. Pastas, tomatoes and cheese have all been hand selected from the finest Italian offerings and will also be available to buy on site to take home with you.
The menu will feature a selection of amazing sliders, from Heartbreaker Burgers to Picante (beef patty with Nduja and pickled red onions), pasta dishes, including what can only be described as London’s best Carbonara), and some traditional Italian dishes. Stay tuned to this as the full menu will be announced soon.
And if that didn’t sound amazing enough, we’ve been working extra hard here at Square Root to come up with the most innovative cocktails we could think of, all using our handmade sodas! We’re bringing you a different theme every week, starting with cola cocktails to celebrate the launch of our new cola in December, continuing on to a G&T weekend with all three of our new tonics on draught and finishing it up with some heavily Christmas themed cocktails to get you all in the festive mood.
We’ll also have our range of bottled soda available to take away and some very special Gin & Tonic gift packs for sale (more on that later).
